Camera Requirements in Regional Areas

Getting into the finer detail of the legislation you will notice that cameras are only required in "relevant areas". If you are operating your Limousine in an area that is  not specified as a "relevant area" you do not meet the risk profile and are not required to install cameras to  accept card and cash. 

For example: A Limousine operating in Emerald, like our member Jay from J-Lo's Rides, does not require an approved security camera to accept card or cash. However, if he wishes to voluntarily install a camera, he must install an approved camera and comply with the obligations under the legislation.

Make sure you note that if your trip starts within a relevant area than you do need a camera to accept card or cash.  If you live on the fringe of a relevant area and decide not to install a camera, make sure you don't accept card or cash from clients who's journey commenced in the "relevant area"
