Membership is open to all Limousine Licence Owners in Queensland.
Initial Membership Fee
Each member is required to pay an initial membership payment of $100 per Limousine Licence. This money is used to pay Michael Fraser and Maddison Johnstone their monthly retainer.
Our goal is to have all Limousine Licence Owners join our group. This would fund Michael and Maddison's work for 6 months.
Success Fee
This is payable by each member if Michael Fraser and Maddison Johnstone generate a result for limousine licence owners that exceeds $10,000 (marked by the industry adjustment assistance package offered to limousine licence holders by the Queensland Government).
The success fee will be 10% of any amount, whether by increasing the assistance on offer or an offer of compensation, exceeding $10,000 per licence, with the Success Fee payment being capped at $1,000 per licence.
The Success Fee is payable within 14 calendar days of members receiving payment. Payments are non-refundable.
Members Responsibilities
Members are required to act in the best interests of the group at all times.
Refer all members of the press to Michael Fraser.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a possibility for any legal liabilities to members in regards to any actions taken by the engaged Fraser and Johnstone?
The Limo Action Group (Queensland) Inc was established as an incorporated Association with the Queensland Dept of Justice (Fair Trading) in order to protect members. The Association becomes a legal entity and as such takes on the responsibility of any legal action. All other options eg a co-operative or an inincorporated association would have left members open to individual liability in the event of any legal action as they are not considered to be an "entity".
Having said that the liability to members would be the financial support of the Association through the initial membership fee of $100' and the success fee if a licence returns to its owner a compensation greater than $10.000,00. The success fee is 10% capped at $1,000.00 per licence eg if $15k returned a success fee of $500 per licence is payable, if $20,000+ is returned per licence a success fee of $1,000.00 is payable per licence.
Will a receipt be issued for our membership of $100 per licence?
Yes receipts will be issued in due course for all funds paid. As this is a very new group, we're still getting things off the ground and have been focused towards the Transport and Utilities committee hearing this Friday.
I'm also waiting on the Office of Fair Trading to acknowledge the Association as a legal entity, so that we can officially use the name. That process can take 3-4 weeks.
