Are you aware that there are laws in place for Limousines that may compromise passenger privacy?
Under the new legislation, an operator of a booked hire vehicle ( Limousines have been included in this class) must have an approved camera installed if they accept any cash, card or cabcharge payment immediately before during or after a journey.
WHAT THIS MEANS
the camera would be hard wired in and is NOT able to be turned off. It records both visual and audio.
it is illegal for the driver to accept any payment in the vehicle unless he has a camera
for operators to protect their clients privacy and not have camera,s they must refuse clients who need to pay by card/cabcharge.
We believe this restricts the trade of opertaors and causes an issue for our clients. We would love to know how this effects the valued clients of teh Limousine Industry.
